Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the butter and garlic. Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.

Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Add the cooked fettuccine and sautéed shrimp to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce. Stir in the lemon zest and juice.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving. Enjoy your creamy garlic shrimp pasta warm!
