Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying

Chopped green onions for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes (about 1-inch pieces). Set aside.

Coat the Bites: In a medium bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss the salmon cubes gently into the flour mixture until evenly coated.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture begins to simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Fry the Salmon Bites: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated salmon bites (you may need to do this in batches to avoid overcrowding). Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Coat with Sauce: In a large bowl, add the crispy salmon bites and drizzle the honey garlic sauce over them. Toss gently to coat everything evenly.

Serve: Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and enjoy warm!
