Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti or your choice of pasta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups baby spinach (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Extra Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, making sure not to let it brown.

Prepare the Cream Sauce: Lower the heat and add the heavy cream to the skillet. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add Cheese: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. If the sauce is too thick, you can add reserved pasta water a little at a time until it reaches your desired consistency.

Combine Pasta & Spinach: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the creamy sauce. If using spinach, add it at this stage and continue to toss until wilted and everything is heated through.

Season: Taste and season the pasta with salt and pepper as needed. Adjust the spice with more red pepper flakes if desired.

Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Enjoy your delicious Garlic Parmesan Pasta!
