Ingredients

4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon juice

For the crisp topping:

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and peaches. Add in the granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of flour, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Toss until the fruit is evenly coated.

Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

In another bowl, make the crisp topping by mixing the rolled oats, 1/2 cup of flour, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the fruit layer in the baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit mixture is bubbling.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
