Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

Burger buns

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the patties are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in another skillet or under the broiler until golden brown.

Once the burgers are cooked, assemble your burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun. Add any optional toppings like sliced tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado.

Serve immediately with your favorite sides, like sweet potato fries or a fresh garden salad.
